We understand that matchmaking involves sensitive personal and family details. We treat your personal data with utmost confidentiality, adhering to strict data protection standards and ethical Islamic guidelines. This Privacy Policy outlines what information we collect, how it is processed, and how you can exercise full control over your personal data.
2. Information We Collect
To provide accurate matchmaking recommendations and maintain community integrity, we collect:
Candidate Profile Data
Name, age, date of birth, gender, marital status, education, occupation, religious background, family details, district/residence, and partner expectations.
Contact & Account Information
Mobile phone number, email address, password hash, and relationship to the candidate (self, parent, sibling, guardian).
Photographs & Privacy Guard
Photos uploaded by members. Photos are protected with optional privacy blur and watermarking to prevent unauthorized downloads or misuse.
Payment & Billing Records
Transaction ID, plan chosen, amount paid, and timestamp. Important: We never store credit/debit card numbers or UPI PINs on our servers.
3. Payment Gateway & Financial Security (Razorpay)
All online payments on SunniZiwaj are processed securely through Razorpay Software Private Limited, an RBI-authorized and PCI-DSS Level 1 compliant payment gateway.
When you make a payment for subscription upgrades or contact reveal quotas, your payment card numbers, net banking credentials, and UPI authorizations are encrypted end-to-end and handled exclusively by Razorpay. SunniZiwaj only receives a secure verification token and transaction status to activate your plan.
4. How We Use Your Information
- To create and manage your matrimony profile and facilitate matchmaking based on your chosen criteria.
- To enable mutual interest requests, shortlist matching, and authorized contact reveals.
- To verify candidate authenticity and maintain platform safety.
- To send transactional notifications, account alerts, and family coordinator assistance via Email, SMS, or WhatsApp.
- To process payments and fulfill plan credits instantly.
- To prevent fraudulent profiles, spam, and abusive behavior.
5. Information Sharing & Disclosure
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to third-party advertisers or telemarketers. Information is only shared under the following conditions:
- With Registered Members: Your public profile information (excluding confidential contact details unless unlocked by an authorized member) is visible to other verified members seeking proposals.
- Service Infrastructure Providers: Trusted cloud and communications providers (e.g., Supabase database hosting, transactional email/SMS gateways, Razorpay payment gateway) strictly to operate the platform.
- Legal Requirements: If mandated by law enforcement authorities, court orders, or applicable Indian laws.
6. Your Rights & Account Deletion
You retain complete control over your matrimonial profile at all times:
- Edit Profile: You can update, correct, or enhance your information at any time from your Account Settings.
- Photo Privacy Controls: You can toggle photo blur on or off whenever you choose.
- Profile Deactivation / Deletion: Once your Nikah is fixed or if you wish to leave the service, you can hide or permanently delete your profile from Settings or by emailing support. Upon deletion, your profile is immediately removed from public searches.
7. Cookies & Session Storage
SunniZiwaj uses essential cookies and local session storage solely for user authentication, maintaining your active session, remembering display preferences, and securing payment workflows. We do not use intrusive cross-site ad tracking cookies.
